To raise money for breast cancer research, Boynton Elementary School’s student council asked students and staff to donate $1 to wear pink Sept. 15.

Although some boys couldn’t bring themselves to dress in pink, they still brought in a donation to support the cause.

The event is an annual fundraiser for Boynton Elementary, and a team of students, teachers and families walk in the yearly Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure in Chattanooga.

This year, Boynton’s student council donated $200 in continued support of the foundation’s search for a cure for this disease.
