4-H and FFA members from 20 Northwest Georgia counties traveled to the Dade County Ag Center in Trenton in December to compete in the Tri-State Junior Heifer Show. This is an annual event sponsored by the Tri-State Cattlemen’s Association and AgGeorgia Farm Credit in LaFayette.

The Walker County 4-H members who competed in the show were Wayne Manning and Logan Edwards. Manning placed second in his class with his commercial heifer, while Logan placed first in her class and went on to win Reserve Champion in the Commercial Division.
