The Gordon Lee Middle School softball won its second consecutive North Georgia Athletic Conference regular season championship on Sept. 25 and followed up by capturing the NGAC Tournament championship last week.

Gordon Lee finished the year with a 11-1 record while going 7-0 in league play, running its streak of consecutive NGAC league wins to 15.

The Lady Trojans were the top seed in the NGAC Tournament.

They opened the tournament with a 15-0 win over Rossville before trumping Lakeview 9-2 to advance to the final series against LaFayette.

There they defeated the Lady Ramblers 10-0 in Game 1 behind a 10-strikeout, one-hitter from Brenna Nation.

Nation followed up the following day by beating LaFayette 7-1 to clinch the title.

Kelsie Bickett had two hits including a homer and three runs scored in the series clincher while Courtney Towns blasted a two-run homer.

Seven Lady Trojans were honored by the conference.

Bickett, Nation, Kara Goins and Courtney Towns were named to the All-Conference Team while Kendall Johnson, Lexis Robertson and Sam Taylor were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Nation was selected as the Tournament's Most Valuable Player
