Local veterinarians will be providing rabies vaccination clinics on Saturday, May 2, at various locations in the county. One-year rabies vaccinations are $9 per animal and Catoosa County registration tags will be available for $5.

State and county laws require all dogs and cats over 90 days old to be inoculated annually.

Each year an average three cases of rabies are confirmed in Catoosa County. Earlier this month a raccoon in Ringgold tested positive for rabies.

On Saturday May 2, the clinics will be held at:

Lakeview High School from 10 a.m. to noon

Boynton Elementary from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Ringgold High School from 1-2 p.m.

Woodstation Voting Center from 2-3 p.m.

Tiger Creek Elementary from 3-4 p.m.

Ringgold Elementary School (Poplar Springs) from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Catoosa County Animal Shelter will assist in registration.
