· Between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on Catoosa Parkway in Tunnel Hill, resulting in the theft of more than $1,300 worth of jewelry and office equipment from the home.

The victim told police she left her home in the morning and returned that afternoon to find that someone had kicked in the back door of her home and stolen several items from within.

She said her dresser drawers had been pulled out and her items thrown around her bedroom.

A jewelry box containing several articles of jewelry, and a Dell laptop computer, were reported missing.

The case was turned over to detective Daniel Thacker.

· On Wednesday Feb. 20, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on Lydia Lane in Ringgold, resulting in the theft of approximately $500 worth of merchandise from within the home.

The victim told police that when she pulled into her garage, she noticed the door leading into the backyard was open and that her kitchen door had been kicked in.

She stated she then backed out of the garage and dialed 911.

Deputies arrived and entered the residence to make sure that there were no intruders inside before assessing the burglary.

The victim and deputies then scanned the home, at which time it was reported that numerous articles of jewelry and a book of checks were stolen during the incident.

Photographs of the scene were then taken, and the case was then turned over to detective Michael Tinker.
