The victim told police that after a day away from the residence, she returned home to find that someone had entered the garage attached to her home, which has no door on it, and took multiple items.
She stated that she didn't notify police right away, but did so two days later on Monday, Nov. 26, after she again claims someone entered the actual home while she was away for a second time.
Following the second incident, she called police in regards to a crowbar found on the floor near the back door with a slightly misaligned back door and door frame.
During the break-in, the victim stated, her refrigerator door was broken off its hinges, window screens were bent, and dresser drawers had been rummaged through.
Tire tracks were also discovered in the grass near the back door of the residence, which the victim claimed she did not make.
An air compressor, flashlights, a skill saw, and miscellaneous hand tools were among the items reported stolen from the home during the incident.
At the time of the report it was not yet determined whether any items were missing from inside the actual residence.
The victim stated that the majority of her belongings weren't in the residence at the time of the two incidents because she is in the process of moving to a new home, and that most of her items have already been taken to her new residence.
The case was turned over to detective Michael Tinker.
• Between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, a residential burglary occurred on South Prigmore Drive in Rossville, resulting in theft of more than $600 worth of office equipment from the home.
The complainant told police that she was house-sitting for the homeowner while he was out of town, and that while she was away picking him up from the airport, someone entered the home and took several items.
Upon arriving back at the residence from the airport she noticed that her Dell laptop computer was missing.
The resident added that his universal phone charger , a BB gun, and a vehicle jump box were missing from his home.
No serial numbers were available for the stolen items.
The case was turned over to detective Ronald Roach.
