The Calhoun-Gordon County Golf Association wrapped up its junior summer tour this past Saturday, and as has been the case all season long, the LaFayette area was well represented.

Jacob Morgan claimed first place in the boys’ high school division, followed by Kurt Ingram and Keaton Stanfield. All three golfers carded a 40 and the results were decided by a scorecard playoff.

Ethan Dendy took the title in the seventh and eighth-grade boys’ division, shooting a 39 to edge out Cole Ingram by one shot.

The third through fifth-grade boys’ division was won by Riley Grant, who shot a 28 for six holes. Grant Langford was second with a 31.

Kelsey Hodge was second in the girls’ third through fifth-grade division. Hodge fired a 35 for six holes, but lost in a scorecard playoff.

Several area golfers also were honored with season-ending awards.

Hodge won the Grinder Award for her age division, while Grant won his age division’s overall points championship. Langford finished second.

In the middle school division, Cole Ingram was named the overall champion, along with taking home awards for most birdies, most eagles, and the overall low round of the season. Carter Grant won the middle school division’s Grinder Award.

And in the high school division, Ingram was crowned tour birdie and eagle leader, had the lowest scoring average, and was the overall champion.
