East Ridge Futbol Club set to open tryouts next week

The East Ridge Futbol Club (ERFC) is preparing to kickoff its inaugural season at Camp Jordan Park.

The ERFC will be first Chattanooga area club represented in U.S. Club Soccer and will participate with Tennessee State Soccer through a partnership with FC Alliance of Knoxville while the club's TSSA application is under review.

Matt Yelton, the ERFC's Director of Coaching, is the Lee University women’s soccer head coach and has guided the Lady Flames to an unprecedented four consecutive NAIA national championships while being named the NSCAA National Coach of the Year three of the past four years.

The ERFC will open tryouts for U8-U12 players on May 22, 24 and 29, while tryouts for U13 and older will be June 5, 7, and 9. All tryouts will be held at Camp Jordan, and parents are asked to be at Camp Jordan Arena at 5:30 p.m. for the Tuesday and Thursday tryout dates, and at 10 a.m. for the June 9 tryout date.

Tryouts will be conducted free of charge and each participant in tryouts will be given a free ERFC shirt.
