NGAC BASKETBALL: Upsets headline Wednesday's tournament action

Day three of the North Georgia Athletic Conference basketball tournament brought with it not one, but two upsets as a pair of No. 6 seeds eliminated a pair of No. 3 seeds on Wednesday at Ringgold Middle School.

On the girls' side, Ringgold's Tigers took out Catoosa County rival Heritage, 28-24, behind nine points from Bethany Headrick and eight from Kayla Woody.

Shelby Hammontree led the Lady Generals with eight points while Jenny Grant finished with six.

On the boys' side of the legder, the Lakeview Warriors got nine points from Dilon Hughes and eight from Hayden Griffin in a 34-32 upset of Dade County.

Reid Hulgan had 13 points for the Wolverines while Brice Stanley added nine.
