Advance Auto Parts is busy sprucing up its Ringgold store before hosting a Monster Jam promo event on Feb. 2.
“We’re doing the remodel here so we can add to our inventory,” store manager John Clemmons said.
The manager and his staff of 17 conducted business as usual while a company reset crew repositioned shelves on Jan. 19.
The remodel should be complete by Jan. 25, a week before the store hosts United States Hot Rod Association monster truck driver Morgan Kane and his monster truck “Stone Crusher,” from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, according to Clemmons.
Advance Auto Parts is sponsoring the Monster Jam Thunder Nationals to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, at UTC McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga.
Monster truck driver Kane, 20, hails from Currituck, N.C. He began competing in the monster truck sport in 2010, according to monsterjam.com. Jennifer Gunderson, event marketing and sales manager for Feld Entertainment Inc., cautioned that the drivers’ promotion event schedules are subject to change.
Ringgold’s Advance Auto Parts will offer promo attendees free hotdogs and sodas on a first-come, first-serve basis, Clemmons said. He said the family-friendly event is also a way to show customer appreciation and celebrate the store remodel.
This is the store’s first remodel since it moved to its current location in 2000, Clemmons said. Advance Auto Parts opened in Ringgold in 1992.
