Gordon Lee Middle No. 2 seed for NGAC softball tourney

The Gordon Lee Middle School softball team will open this week's North Georgia Athletic Conference tournament as the No. 2 seed after losing a coin toss to Heritage on Sunday.

Gordon Lee finished the regular season with a 12-2 record, splitting their final two games.

This past Tuesday, Gordon Lee claimed a 2-0 win over Heritage, but fell to Lakeview in their regular season finale on Saturday, missing their chance to gain the No. 1 seed outright.

The NGAC tournament gets going on Monday when Dade County takes on Rossville with the winner to travel to top-seeded Heritage on Tuesday.

The rest of Tuesday's opening round games includes Trion against Gordon Lee, Lakeview agianst LaFayette and Chattanooga Valley against Ringgold.

The best-of-three finals were begin on Friday at the home of the lowest remaining seed while the highest remaining seed will host the second game and the third game, if needed, on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.
