This is her first hit single released since she finished second place behind winner Scotty McCreary in Fox’s 2011 “American Idol” competition.
The video first aired Monday, Aug. 8, on cable networks Country Music Television and Great American Country.
The video depicts Alaina singing in several different rooms of a grand traditional southern home. There is also an overlying feature of home movies displayed throughout the house, reflecting the singer’s country charm and small hometown roots in Georgia.
In perfect keeping with the popular lyrics, the footage of “her memories” includes childhood performances, baby pictures, family photos, Alaina dancing with her mother and other scenes from a day in the sun. Alaina was quoted by Great American Country as saying, "I love that it shows who I am and how I became who I am. It shows my family and all about what I've done all through the years, and I love that."
She also said she hopes viewers will “get to know her a bit more” after seeing the clip, which was shot by Nash-ville video director Shaun Silva in Altadena, Calif.
Alaina is also working on a debut album, but no date has been given yet on its release. Fans can register on LaurenAlainaOfficial.com to get the latest news.
