Stephens will headline Chattanooga Extreme Fight Night VI, which will is scheduled to feature a dozen pro and amateur bouts. The doors will open at 7 p.m. with the fights starting at 8:30.
Stephens, who trains with Blalocks/IMB out of Chattanooga, will face Jeremy Diamond out of Clarksville, Tenn. (SSF Academy) in the main event.
“I know he’s fought two guys that have fought in the UFC. Other than that, I don’t know much about him,” Stephens said of his opponent. “I’ll just use the same strategy I usually use. Just get in there and let instinct take over. That’s the way I train to fight.”
A former state champion wrestler at LaFayette, who is currently wrestling for Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky, Stephens began his pro MMA career with a three-round unanimous decision over Ryan Quinn on July 9, 2010 at XFC 11.
He followed up on Dec. 3 of last year with a three-round unanimous decision over Joe Heink at XFC 13.
He said fighting his hometown will be special.
“It’s going to be great to fight in front of my family and friends,” he added. “Hopefully, I’ll have a big crowd behind me.”
Advance general admission tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for kids, ages 12 and under. Cageside seats are $40, and VIP table seats are available for $60 by calling (770) 910-7414.
