In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students and staff at Cherokee Ridge Elementary School wore pink to school, collected donations and formed a huge, human pink ribbon.

Donations totaling nearly $600 were collected for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure three-day walk in Atlanta.

Five Cherokee Ridge staff members participated in the 60-mile walk designed to raise awareness in local communities, celebrate survivors and raise money for cancer research.
