Amanda Rose Ledford of LaFayette and Joshua Michael Fisher of Bremerton, Wash., have announced their engagement and are planning a September wedding.

The bride elect is the daughter of Madison and Marie Ledford of LaFayette and the granddaughter of the late David and Betty Ledford of LaFayette and the late George and Margie Bostick of Lakeland, Fla.

She also has two sisters, Adrienne Cain, married to Brant Cain (LaFayette) and Alisha Werner, married to Sean Werner (Wesley Chapel, Fla.).

The groom is the son of U.S Navy veteran Randell and Teri Fisher of Bremerton, Wash., and he is the grandson of Robert and Margie Fisher of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Manly R. and Julie Matteson of Lodi, Calif., and Fred and Charlotte Chambless of Humble, Tex.

He has one sister, Amanda Marie Fisher who lives in Bowling Green, Ky.

The bride elect graduated from LaFayette High School and is a recent graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music with concentration in vocal performance.

The prospective bridegroom holds an associate's degree from Florida College, and has a sustainable building advisor certification in progress at Olympic College, where he is pursuing a degree in architecture. He is also a freelance artist, graphic designer and urban-planning designer in Bremerton, Wash.

A wedding date of Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. has been planned and will be held at The Fairyland Club in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
